6 TIPS FOR THE CARE OF YOUR GARMENTS
Here are some tips to make sure your clothes last much longer in your closet!
1. Add a pinch of salt
Adding a pinch of salt when you first wash your sportswear can make a big difference. Thanks to the chlorine in the salt, the color can stay more vibrant for a longer period of time.
2. Avoid excessive detergents/soap.
Many people think that the more detergent or soap they use, the cleaner their clothes will be after a workout. Not so! Too much detergent can cause soap residue buildup that can trap odors in your clothes.
Use a mild detergent, harsh detergents can cause irritation.
3. Do not use bleach or fabric softeners.
Bleaches can work great for white garments, but they can also work against you if you don't use them correctly. Using them can deteriorate the materials of your NEONstyle sportswear, wearing them down and creating holes in the garment.
NEONstyle garments are already super soft, so using fabric softeners can actually damage the fabric and elasticity of your sportswear.
4. Don't take too long to wash them.
NEONstyle fabrics are anti-bacterial, but don't forget that bacteria left on your clothes after exercise can start to cause odors if you take too long to wash them.
When you do a very intense workout or finish your padel match, your clothes get soaked with sweat so it's a great idea to wash them immediately after you take them off. You don't want your clothes to get stained with sweat if you leave them unwashed for too long. Your clothes will thank you endlessly!
5. Wash your NEONstyle garments in cold water.
Another simple way to prevent your garments from fading is to wash them in cold water. Hot water can cause certain stains (such as sweat) to remain permanently on your garments. Cold water also prevents shrinkage.
6. Do not use a dryer
Intense heat from tumble dryers can affect the fit of your garments, as when your garments are exposed to heat they can shrink, reducing the elasticity of their materials. Although if you have an important match and you need them to dry very quickly, choose a very low drying temperature so that your garments do not suffer so much.
Ideally, when you wash your garments, turn them inside out and dry them in a ventilated place in the shade.
